Dynamic Measurement: Sensing, Modeling and Analysis
TECHNICAL OUTLINE
Dynamic measurement is becoming a key enabling capability as industry moves toward intelligent, digital and highly automated systems. In advanced manufacturing, intelligent transportation, robotics, renewable energy, aerospace and next-generation infrastructure, critical physical quantities often change rapidly under complex operating conditions. Accurate, traceable and reliable measurement of these changes is essential for technological innovation, real-time decision-making, system safety, operational efficiency and product quality. Building on the scientific foundation and international network established through the 3rd International Conference on Dynamic Measurement, held jointly with IMEKO TC3, TC5, TC16, TC20 and TC22 in Hangzhou in 2026, this Special Session responds to the growing demand for trustworthy measurement in dynamic and complex environments.
This Special Session will focus more on complex dynamic mechanisms, advanced perception technologies, and mathematical analysis methods in the traceability and application of dynamic measurement of various physical quantities. By improving confidence in time-varying measurement data, this Special Session will contribute to safer systems, higher industrial efficiency, improved product quality, reduced resource and energy consumption, and more sustainable technological development.
